Based in Snowdonia, North Wales, CloudBase Productions Ltd was established in 2017 as an environmental photo and multi media  company combining diving and biological expertise with seagoing capabilities to utilise the rapidly developing technology of drones and digital underwater photography and videography.  
Our CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) approved qualifications allows us to operate up to an altitude of 400 ft / 120 m above ground level and at a distance of up to 500m. We are not limited to aerial work, however, and have a range of full format stills and 4K video camera gear capable of being used on land and underwater.
We are used to operating in challenging environments whether it be launching from a mountain ridge with 20 knot cross winds, from vessels underway at sea, at 40m depth at far-flung Hebridean islands or in the confined spaces of busy, urban landscapes.

We also have 30 years experience of marine biological surveys and diving. Rohan Holt is a fully HSE-qualified scientific diver, with over 3000 dives covering a world-wide range of conditions and survey methodologies. He has lead on intertidal and sub-tidal surveys and marine monitoring projects for the UK Statutory Nature Conservation Bodies and has published land and underwater images in various books, scientific publications, magazines and websites. Rohan is also a commercially endorsed skipper and qualified diving instructor and also specialises in scientific diving health and safety.

The combination of land, sea and sky capabilities is a rare mix and can be applied to image and video-based productions as well as scientific studies in the marine environment.

We aim to work in the most environmentally friendly and sustainable way possible to reduce our environmental impact, lower our greenhouse gas emissions and continually improve our environmental performance, whatever the job. That can simply mean sharing transport to arrive in the most economic way; disposing of waste by recycling appropriately; taking care not to disturb sensitive wildlife during critical phases of nesting or raising offspring, or simply not operating when we might disturb others who are enjoying a tranquil moment of their own.  It is our priority to encourage our customers, suppliers and associates to do the same.
